Turkey, and stuffing, and cookies, and candy, reduce holiday stress and latkes, and eggnog.  All the holiday treats that make us feel like kids again.

Too many of these treats can also be a major factor in holiday stress. For most people, the holidays go hand in hand with too much fat, sugar, caffeine, and alcohol, and not nearly enough sleep and exercise.

As the final step in reducing holiday stress it is important to try and eat as healthy as you can.

This doesn't mean you have to deprive yourself and abstain from any form of celebration. To combat holiday stress we must  pay better attention to our body's need for healthy food, exercise, and sleep during this intense time of year.

Instead of over indulging, choose the few treats that are your favorites and enjoy them from time to time.  Make sure to keep your body nourished and hydrated and you will find that your stress will be less and not as debilitating.

This is the final step in reducing holiday stress but remember that all of these principles can be applied at any time of the year to reduce stress and make you life more enjoyable.

Happy Holidays!
