Experience Your Life Blog

Spring has sprung. The tulips are blooming,Yellow_flower the trees are covered with bright new foliage, and baby birds are raising their heads from their nests. This time of year is a season of growth and development and also a  good time to pause and evaluate your own growth and development. It is easy to just keep following the day-to-day grind without  ever stopping to look at where that grind is or isn't taking you.

With all this green growy spring energy in the air why not take the time to ask yourself three easy and eye opening questions:

1. What are the most important things in my life?

2. Am I focusing my daily energy on at least one of those things?

3. If not, why not?

Let's delve a little bit further into this process one question at a time.  Starting with the first question, when was the last time you stopped and really evaluated what is important to you? When you take the time to really focus on the things that matter to you, you are then able to make life choices that are in harmony with those desires. You can take on the projects that help develop those goals and move toward the things that bring you the most joy and contentment.

When you get in touch with the dreams that really have meaning to you it allows you to address question two: "Am I focusing my daily energy on the goals that are important to me?" There are lots of distractions around you every single day and it is easy to lose track of your personal goals. When you have a true focus on what is important, each decision you make in your day has a meaning that leads towards making those dreams come true.

This leads to the final question: "If I am not focusing my energy on the goals that are important to me, then why?" It is very normal to put the needs of others ahead of your own and not even realize you are doing it. The demands of work, family, and friends can become easy distractions from taking care of the most important person in your life…YOU. Take the time to work on what you are passionate about and you will find that as you focus on your needs those other responsibilities will become easier to manage.

So find a beautiful garden to sit in and as you soak in the energy of spring, ask these three questions.  By staying focused on these vital answers you can rediscover peace of mind, develop a sense of personal strength and vitality, and feel like you are once again on the path to living a healthy productive life.

And you might even plant a garden
